“9 Steps to Success” - Jumpstart Your Business:  

Arlington SBDC of Virginia SBDC and George Mason University- Mason Enterprise Center at School of Public Policy, in partnership with Arlington Economic Development  is conducting this workshop that walks you through your business idea from start to finish. It is an introduction to the tools to successfully start and grow your small business. The topics included are: 

1.  Do you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur?
2.  What's a business plan and why do you need one?
3.  Where do you get licensed and registered?
4.  How do you select the right legal form for your business?
5.  Where can you get money for start up?
6.  What is Financial Literacy?
7.  What are Business Risks and can Insurance take care of them?
8.  How to know if you are in the good books of IRS?
9.  How do our classes and free counseling work? And much, much more! 

This seminar will help you organize your thoughts, think realistically about your goals, and consider questions you hadn't thought to ask.

    Columbia Pike Business Opportunity Network: Free Networking Breakfast Event for Pike Area Businesses

    The Columbia Pike Revitalization Organization (CPRO) and BizLaunch are hosting a series of networking opportunities for small businesses on Columbia Pike and other professionals interested in this redeveloping corridor. These events offer entrepreneurs an opportunity to meet other local business people, discuss common challenges, and share solutions.
